New York, NY (February 3, 2022) – Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director; Melissa Huber, Managing Director) announced today the upcoming work-in-process concert presentation of The Oscar Micheaux Suite, the next event in Prospect’s IGNITE Concert Series, an ongoing initiative which features today’s new voices shaping tomorrow’s musical theater. Concert performances will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 2pm & 7pm, and Sunday, March 27th at 2pm at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street).
The Oscar Micheaux Suite is a special event featuring a six-piece jazz ensemble as well as featured vocalists, debuting new songs from a jazz musical in development. The music is composed by multi-GRAMMY Award nominated jazz artist Alphonso Horne, who is also the bandleader and will play trumpet for the engagement. Lyrics are by Jesse L. Kearney, Jr. and Peter Mills. The concert director is Kimille Howard.
The Oscar Micheaux Suite is inspired by the life and work of Oscar Micheaux, America's first major Black filmmaker. Micheaux’s groundbreaking films focused on contemporary Black life in the first half of the 20th century, racial relationships, and the struggle of African Americans trying to achieve success. He sought to create films that would counter white portrayals of African Americans, and used the emerging art form of silent film to push back against the racism of early Hollywood, representing stories from Black experience. The Oscar Micheaux Suite aims to illuminate his legacy – but also spark dialogue about the history of America's ongoing struggle for racial equality, including representation on stage.
“Oscar Micheaux deserves to be remembered. His legacy continues to provide inspiration, and is a major influence on cinema and American entertainment,” said lyricist Jesse L. Kearney, Jr.
The Oscar Micheaux Project is honored to have been selected for a developmental residency at the 2022 Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals, one of the premier writers' residencies in the nation. The JMF Writers Grove at Goodspeed provides a sanctuary for composers, lyricists, and librettists to embark on new musical theater work in an environment rich with creative energy.
Composer Alphonso Horne was awarded a 2022 Individual Artists Composer Commission by the New York State Council on the Arts, to continue the development of the score and orchestrations for this original jazz musical. NYSCA’s Individual Artists Program venerates the power of the individual by supporting composers, theatre artists, and film and media makers, enabling them to successfully realize their visions, and is made possible by support from Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
Tickets ($40) are now available and can be purchased by visiting 59e59.org or by calling 646-892-7999. Student Rush tickets and ’30 & Under’ Membership tickets are also available.
Additional information, including complete casting and creative team, will be announced shortly. For more information, please visit ProspectTheater.org.

New York, NY (February 2, 2022) – Creative Point-On (Daniela Pavan & Tommaso Cartia, Founders) announced today that gala launch for Boundless Theater (A Stage Without Borders) will now be held on Monday, March 21st at LUXUNY Atelier at Bryant Park Studios (80 West 40th Street). The event was previously postponed out of an abundance of caution due to Covid.

Additionally, Boundless Theater will also postpone their gala to later this Spring, at a date to be announced. Tickets, starting at $25, are now available and can be purchased at BoundlessTheater.com.
Boundless Theater (A Stage Without Borders) is a theatrical installation series returning the spotlight to the underground scene of the performing arts by presenting exclusively curated, boutique performances from indie playwrights, actors, musicians, and dancers in unconventional spaces, starting from speakeasy-styled cabaret locations throughout New York City.
Each Boundless Tuesday evening will begin with the Boundless Theater Manifesto and a musical act by international singer-songwriter Hadiza Dockeray and her band, followed by a performance from David James Parr’s anthology play Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting.
Eleanor Rigby is Waiting (24 strangers. 24 hours. 1 chance to connect) by award-winning author David James Parr is a kaleidoscopic romantic comedy-drama consisting of a mosaic of interconnected vignettes, exploring different shades of human emotion. A boundless experience combined with an evocative live music performance by singer-songwriter Hadiza Dockeray invites the audience each night on a unique date with surprising characters and one chance to connect with an array of strangers, played by a group of versatile powerhouse actors in an interconnected portrait of love, lust, and longing in our modern world.
The show was initially inspired by the lyrics of the popular song by The Beatles: “Ah, look at all the lonely people. Where did they all come from?” Edward Albee famously got his cryptic title for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? from a bathroom mirror in a West Village restaurant where these words were scrawled. A central character in Parr’s play similarly sees the phrase Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting written in lipstick on a bathroom mirror and begins to ruminate about its origin. Is it about loneliness? Is it about hope? And how long, exactly, can you keep a person waiting before they break?
Boundless Theater’s Ambassadors include Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Jenn Colella; actor, writer, filmmaker and transgender activist Pooya Mohseni; and screen star Jacopo Rampini.

New York, NY (January 31, 2022) – Released today is the trailer for Launch at Paradise, a new science-fiction thriller short film by Carrie Ann Quinn (“Defending Jacob”), available here.
Launch at Paradise stars two-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner Catherine Curtin (“Orange is the New Black,” “Stranger Things”) and Obie Award winner Zainab Jah (False Positive, “Deep State”), with Grammy Award nominee James Harkness (Ain’t Too Proud), Lauren Schaffel (“Still Standing”), Patrick Shane (“Homicide City”), and Daniel Mitura (The Hobbyist).
Written by Daniel Mitura and directed by Carrie Ann Quinn, Launch at Paradise features music by Blair Borland, editing by Jonathan Rogers, production design by Kat VanCleave, cinematography by Dominick Sivilli, and costumes by Breton Tyner-Bryan.
If creating a unified perspective for all humankind can spell the end of violence, conflict, and discrimination, is it worth killing individual thought? Should we fundamentally change the human brain in order to end conflict? In Launch at Paradise, a powerful organization offers its agents “eternal life” in exchange for their brain matter, reorganizing the best content of their minds to create a super intelligence that brings forth an end to war and conflict. They are terrified to learn that they sacrifice their individuality as a result, but is there still an escape for their soul?

TO PRESENT
“THE SOUND OF MUSIC IN CONCERT”
JULY 25 & 26
BENEDICT MUSIC TENT, ASPEN
New York, NY & Aspen, CO (January 28, 2022) – The Aspen Music Festival and School (Alan Fletcher, President and CEO) and Theatre Aspen (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) announced today that, this summer, their organizations will again collaborate to present a very special concert production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical The Sound of Music on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26 at 7:30 pm in the Benedict Music Tent (960 North 3rd Street, Aspen, CO 81611). This evening builds upon the success of The Sweetest Sounds: The Music of Richard Rodgers in 2021 and South Pacific in 2019. The evening is presented by special arrangement with The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization.
"I’ve wanted to present this show as long as I’ve been at the Festival," commented Alan Fletcher, President and CEO of The Aspen Music Festival and School. “In a way, I owe my life to The Sound of Music, since my mother heard the real Von Trapp Family in their first U.S. tour (she was sixteen) and, on her first date with my father, she said that she wanted to have a huge family, all musicians (she was seventeen). I am one of six kids, all musicians. Every single thing about this show is wonderful to me, and it will be a true highlight of the summer to partner again with Theatre Aspen presenting this timeless show that touches our hearts and our humanity.”
“We are delighted to be partnering with our friends at the Music Festival to once again bring the best of Broadway to Aspen this summer, with our joint presentation of The Sound of Music,” added Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen. “The hills will truly be alive."
Premiering on Broadway in 1959, the musical was a huge success and ran for 1,443 performances, winning five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, out of nine nominations. This concert adaptation captures the boisterous yet compelling nature of the musical and focuses on the beloved score that made The Sound of Music unforgettable. Enduring songs include "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Do-Re-Mi," and the title song "The Sound of Music."
Complete casting and the creative team for this special event will be announced shortly.
Tickets are $110 and $50; $30 children’s seats (12 and under, available while supplies last). A limited number of $500 tickets that include premier seating and a post-event cast party will also be available for the July 25th performance. Tickets will be available for purchase through the AMFS Box Office starting in April by calling 970-925-9042 or online at AspenMusicFestival.com.
Underwriting support provided by Nancy Wall and Charles Wall.

TODD BUONOPANE
Back by poular demand!
“All Washed Up”
7:00pm / Tickets begin at $19
In 2020, TODD BUONOPANE (Broadway’s Cinderella, Chicago, Grease, & Spelling Bee) taught us how to survive a quarantine by singing lady songs in his bathtub. Bathtub Theatre became an internet sensation, about which Broadway.com’s Paul Wontorek claimed “it makes me want to see him in every show!” Well, Todd is out of the tub and back onstage at Green Room 42! Under the music direction of KEVIN DAVID THOMAS (Broadway’s Les Miz, A Little Night Music), Todd is singing songs and medleys of the grand dames of the Broadway stage that will set your gay heart ablaze! Don’t miss the show that Adam Feldman from TimeOutNY called a “Delight from beginning to end” and Provincetown critics called a “Musical Theatre Orgasm”!
WHY I’LL NEVER MAKE IT
Featuring Emmy Winner KEVIN SPIRTAS from “Days Of Our Lives”
Hosted by Patrick Oliver Jones
9:30pm / Tickets begin at $19
PATRICK OLIVER JONES is an actor and host of the Top 25 Theater podcast Why I’ll Never Make It, and this will be the first live presentation of the show. It's a night of songs and conversation with KEVIN SPIRTAS as they discuss three important moments from his work on stage and screen, including his time as Hugh Jackman's standby in The Boy from Oz and long tenure in the daytime drama “Days of Our Lives”. They'll also dive into personal setbacks and professional challenges Kevin has faced as both an actor and producer. It'll be a rare but honest behind-the-scenes look into the life of a talented artist sharing experiences and thoughts from the heart on what it really means to "make it" in this business.
Why I’ll Never Make It podcast was created in 2017 to explore the reasons actors and creative professionals don’t succeed and foster honest conversations of the day-to-day struggles in the entertainment industry. Interviews range from such notables as *NSYNC's Joey Fatone and Caitlin Kinnunen from Broadway’s The Prom to everyday actors, composers, directors, and teachers. They all share a common theme of how hard this business can be, yet each of them share their passion for the arts and what keeps them going through all the ups and downs. As the old song goes, “There’s no people like show people, they smile when they are low.” Listeners will certainly find laughter and inspiration from the stories and experiences shared on this podcast.

CHRISTINE PEDI
“A Pedi Party”
Musical Comedy, Conversations and Cocktails with this SiriusXM “On Broadway” Host
7:00pm / Tickets begin at $19
Come to Christine’s monthly cabaret party! A shaker of sass, satire, sweet & silly songs shaken up with a touch of talk and garnished with a drop in guest now and then. MATTHEW MARTIN WARD at the piano.
CHRISTINE PEDI the “Lady of 1000 Voices" first discovered her talent for multiple personalities (Merman, Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters etc) thru her long association with the legendary off Broadway revue Forbidden Broadway having performed in companies all over the world including London’s West End, Japan, Los Angeles, NYC, Singapore & DEEtroit. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Forbidden Hollywood (Liza, Rosie Perez, Judi Dench, Sharon Stone etc) as well as an LA Ovation & NAACP Award. She also brought her collection of Divas to off B'ways long running Newsical the Musical and recently starred in and co-produced Spamilton: An American Parody written by Forbidden Broadway’s creator Gerard Allessandrini. On Broadway she played Mama Morton (yes just one character...all night) in the 2nd Chicago (THE longest running AMERICAN musical BTW). Her Broadway debut was in Little Me with Martin Short & Faith Prince, directed by Rob Marshall and she played several peculiar callers (again with the voices) opposite Liev Schreiber (well not opposite ... she was in the basement of the Longacre Theatre talking into a microphone while he was acting and smoking on stage but it was dynamic) in Eric Bogosian’s Talk Radio directed by Robert Falls. Speaking of radio she is the daily host of SiriusXM Radio’s “On Broadway” channel playing music of the stage & screen and interviewing Show Biz legends (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm ch 72). On Saturdays, she and the "aMAHzing" Seth Rudetsky co-host the “Dueling Divas”. Fans of Howard Stern can hear her provide the occasional celebrity voice on his Sirius morning show. Off Broadway she played the title role in Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage and A Broadway Diva Christmas. At The York Theatre she performed in Jerry’s Girls and the coveted (yes COVETED!) Joann Worley track in The Mad Show as well as the Lanie Kazan role in My Favorite Year. She's appeared in many incarnations of The A Train Plays, The 24 Hour Plays, and many glorious Project Shaws. Her cabaret show Great Dames has won the New York Bistro & Nitelife Awards and has played NYC, Los Angeles, London, South Africa & beyond. There’s No Bizness Like Snow Bizness her holiday show has been a seasonal staple in NYC since 2008. She’s performed in that “cutie patootie” John McD’s Cabaret Corner on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and sung in many major NYC venues & cruiseships including Birdland, Feinsteins/54 Below, The Iridium, The Metropolitan Room, The Algonquin, The Laurie Beechman, Avery Fisher Hall, Don’t Tell Mamas...and the QE2...AND she's performed for President & Mrs. Clinton (playing a singing Hillary!). Fans of “The Sopranos” may recognize her as Mrs. Bobby Baccala (4 scenes, 5 lines ... dead. BUT he loved her so much he couldn't defrost her ziti!). She has many popular comic videos on YouTube including some posted by drunk fans filming with iPhones on nights that she wasn’t “camera ready” but she forgives them because it’s all about the looooooooove... and the musical comedy. dammit. Her “Shit Liza Says” videos are widely popular.

AT THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE SPACE
TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE
New York, NY (January 19, 2022) – Creative Point-On (Daniela Pavan & Tommaso Cartia, Founders) announced today that out of an abundance of caution due to Covid, Boundless Theater (A Stage Without Borders) will postpone their inaugural installation series featuring performances by singer-songwriter Hadiza Dockeray and excerpts from David James Parr’s anthology play Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting. The series will now take place over four Boundless Tuesdays this Spring at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre Space (61 Christopher Street): April 19, April 26, May 3, and May 10. Additionally, Boundless Theater will also postpone their gala to later this Spring, at a date to be announced.
Tickets, starting at $25, are now available and can be purchased at BoundlessTheater.com.

New York, NY (January 18, 2022) – The world premiere recording of the shards of an honor code junkie, an American opera written by award-winning composer and musician Blake Allen, has been streamed over 2 millions times on Spotify, exactly 4 months since the album’s release.
An American opera oratorio meets storybook album, the shards of an honor code junkie is an autobiographical story of a homosexual Mormon that embarks on a journey of self-love while challenging Brigham Young’s staunch eight Honor Code Rules, unhinging demons of drugs, sex, and suicide in a victorious coming-of-age story.
Distributed by No Reverse Records, the shards of an honor code junkie merges together script and score in a thirty-track tour de force that outlines the Honor Code Rules, and the consequences of abuse, retaliation, mental anguish and removal from the school if they are determined broken by peers or administration. With Broadway’s most celebrated voices, Allen invites listeners into his experiences as a Mormon student at the prestigious university and being raised in an extremely religious household under a parent’s watchful eye. Navigating the shame of sexuality, drug use, depression, and the loss of a close friend to suicide following their own shame, the work champions progress, acceptance, kindness and love—tenants that are part of the Mormon faith but missing from the fabric of BYU’s student culture. The release comes amidst recent controversy within the institution after rescinding an amendment to the code that seemingly accepted “homosexual behavior”.
A work that was originally conceived during Allen’s residence at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, with an AEA reading in 2015 and a 2017 staged concert in New York City, the produced record features Tony Award nominee Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, Romance/Romance), Michael Lowney (La Cage Aux Folles), Teal Wicks (The Cher Show, Finding Neverland, Wicked), Kristy Cates (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland, Wicked), J Harrison Ghee (Mrs. Doubtfire, Kinky Boots), Hannah Cruz (Hamilton 1st National Tour), singer and actress Tori Scott, and opera soprano Cree Carrico, supported by ensemble voices Drama Desk Award winner Kuhoo Verma (Plan B, Octet, Big Stick), Isaac Phaman Reynolds, Josh Daniel (Book of Mormon), Ron Tal, and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 12 contestant Brita Filter. Zi Alikhan served as script consultant.

“ODD MAN OUT”
A LIVE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE IN COMPLETE DARKNESS
RELEASES NEW PRODUCTION PHOTOS
PERFORMANCES BEGIN TONIGHT AT 7
AT THE FLEA THEATER
NEW PRODUCTION PHOTOS AVAILABLE HERE
New York, NY (January 18, 2022) – PITCHBLACK Immersive Experiences released today new production photos of the return of Odd Man Out, available for download here. Odd Man Out begins performance tonight, Tuesday, January 18, at The Flea Theater’s The Pete Theater (20 Thomas Street). Written by Martín Bondone and directed by Bondone, Carlos Armesto, and Facundo Bogarín, Odd Man Out plays a strictly limited engagement through Friday, February 18, 2022.
Odd Man Out is a LIVE immersive play in darkness. It begins when “passengers” enter a dimly lit space guided by a flight attendant. Passengers put on their headphones and their blindfolds. From there, the story allows listeners to immerse themselves in the tale of Alberto, a blind musician flying home from New York to Buenos Aires, Argentina, after decades of self-exile. As listeners enter Alberto’s story of love, prejudice and fears that were left behind, they experience a 360-surround sound, multisensory “journey.”
Because passengers are blindfolded through the entire duration of the flight, the action can be experienced by way of auditory stimulation, tactile objects and enriched smells. VIP passengers will be able to have their sense of taste piqued as well. All passengers will even feel weather happening around them. This experience engages and awakens the senses, tests limits, and ultimately uses the darkness to bring the audience to a new light.
Odd Man Out began at Teatro Ciego in Argentina, which has a 15-year history of creating live experiences in complete darkness. The theater company employs artists and technicians with visual disabilities in all their work. Forty percent of staff and creative teams are made up of blind and low-vision individuals.
A portion of the proceeds from the Odd Man Out will go to Visions (www.visionsvcb.org), which provides services for the blind and visually impaired.
The cast of Odd Man Out features Gonzalo Trigueros, Nael Raza, Ignacio Borderes, Alejandra Buljevich, Holly Connor, Andrés Montejo, Carmen Borla, Modesto Lacen, Victoria Raigorodsky, and Aksel Tang.
Odd Man Out features original music, arrangements, and music direction by Mirko Mescia, sound design by Nicolas Álvarez, dramaturgy by Carlos Armesto and Aksel Tang, and storytelling revisions by Matias Guzman. NY producers are Carlos Armesto (lead producer), Lola Lopez Guardone (executive producer), and Malcolm March (associate producer). Jonathan Vidal and Lucila Brindisi are Directors of Marketing and Communications and the disability consultant is Alie Gorrie.
Odd Man Out premiered at Teatro Ciego in October 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Performed by six actors entirely in the dark, Odd Man Out relied on binaural immersive sound design, a delicate choreography and the innovative use of smell and touch to create the landscape of its world and characters with a cast composed of majority artists that have either partial or complete vision loss.
Following the Spanish production in Argentina, Teatro Ciego partnered with theatreC to premiere Odd Man Out in the U.S. in February, 2020 at an English-Language workshop presentation. The cast of American actors rehearsed in Argentina and presented excerpts from the play at the American Embassy in preparation for a New York Production. This was followed by a production at The Flea Theater in New York in November and December of 2021.
Tickets for the Odd Man Out LIVE immersive experience are $50 with “First Class” VIP seating available for $90. Odd Man Out plays at The Flea Theater Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 7pm and 9pm; Saturdays at 3pm, 7pm, and 9pm; and Sundays at 3pm.
Odd Man Out is also presented as an at home immersive experience where people are sent a box to their home with all the elements required to experience the play.
Senior and Student tickets are available for $35 and patrons must present supporting ID. All passengers must present proof of vaccination upon arrival. First class passengers receive an extra VIP experience prior to the main show, a VIP reception with refreshments, advance entrance to the space (premier boarding), and a souvenir.

“SCAR TISSUE”
A NEW PLAY BY VICTORIA FRAGNITO
BEGINS PERFORMANCES THIS THURSDAY
AT THE PLAYERS THEATER
DIRECTED BY JENN SUSI
ARTWORK & HEADSHOTS AVAILABLE HERE
New York, NY (January 11, 2022) – The world premiere of Scar Tissue, a bold new play by Victoria Fragnito, begins performances this Thursday, January 13th on the Steve and Marie Sgouros Theatre at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street). Featuring direction by Jenn Susi and music by Kristin Sgarro, Scar Tissue is set to run through Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Time does not heal all wounds. Best friends, Jessica and Sam, each have scars from their pasts that have not healed. Jessica has never been able to get past an extremely damaging romantic relationship from her formative years in college, while Sam has been ignoring a painfully fractured relationship with her sister. After years of denial, an impromptu lunch date and a surprise overnight guest forces them both to confront these wounds and face what they didn't want to see head on.
Scar Tissue achieves a chilling dichotomy by using our unspoken truths to connect with its audience on a human level. Returning to face these truths is an all-star cast including Fragnito herself leading the company as Jess; Nick Ritacco (“Homeland”, “Law & Order”) as Luke; Rita McCann (Linked Dance Theatre, Jesus Hopped the A Train, RED) as Sam; Jillian Vitko (Unarmed Man, “The Perfect Murder”, The Boys Will Be) as Sam’s sister Hannah; and Brandon Ford Green (“High Fidelity”, Good Grief, “I’m Dying Up Here”) as Jack. Lighting design is by Alyssandra Docherty.
Scar Tissue is produced by Christopher McGinnis.
Scar Tissue will play the following schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7pm; and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets begin at $52 and are available at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/1084153

CHRISTINE PEDI: A PEDI PARTY
SiriusXM “On Broadway” host
Musical comedy, conversation, and cocktails
9:30pm / Tickets begin at $19
Come to Christine’s monthly cabaret party!

A LIVE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE IN COMPLETE DARKNESS
RETURNS TO
THE FLEA THEATER
WRITTEN BY MARTÍN BONDONE
DIRECTED BY MARTÍN BONDONE, CARLOS ARMESTO, & FACUNDO BOGARÍN
PERFORMANCES BEGIN JANUARY 18
TICKETS NOW ON SALE
PHOTOS & TRAILER AVAILABLE HERE
New York, NY (January 6, 2022) – PITCHBLACK Immersive Experiences announced today the return of Odd Man Out to The Flea Theater (20 Thomas Street). Written by Martín Bondone and directed by Bondone, Carlos Armesto, and Facundo Bogarín, Odd Man Out begins performances on Tuesday, January 18 at The Flea Theater’s The Pete Theater, with the strictly limited engagement set to run through Saturday, February 19, 2022.
NY producers are Carlos Armesto (lead producer), Lola Guardone (executive producer), and Malcolm March (associate producer).

ARTWORK & HEADSHOTS AVAILABLE HERE
New York, NY (December 30, 2021) – Announced today is the world premiere of Scar Tissue, a bold new play by Victoria Fragnito, who makes her NYC playwrighting debut. Featuring direction by Jenn Susi and music by Kristin Sgarro, Scar Tissue is set to premiere on the Steve and Marie Sgouros Theatre at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street) with performances beginning Thursday, January 13, and set to run through Sunday, January 30, 2022.
“With every staged reading or workshop production, I have had audience members of every walk of life tell me that they see themselves in these characters - and not just one single character, but multiple. This is a story that everyone can relate to in some way, shape, or form,” says playwright Victoria Fragnito.
“It’s time to allow trauma to live on stage as it truly is- messy, pervasive, confusing, and isolating. In giving voice to this truth, we can heal and begin again. Audiences will be transformed by the power and courage of these humans through Victoria’s impactful storytelling,” says director Jenn Susi.

New York, NY (December 20, 2021) – Creative Point-On (Daniela Pavan & Tommaso Cartia, Founders) announced today the launch of Boundless Theater (A Stage Without Borders), a theatrical installation series returning the spotlight to the underground scene of the performing arts by presenting exclusively curated, boutique performances from indie playwrights, actors, musicians, and dancers in unconventional spaces, starting from speakeasy-styled cabaret locations throughout New York City.
Boundless Theater will host a gala on Tuesday, January 18th at LUXUNY Atelier at Bryant Park Studios (80 West 40th Street). The evening will feature a taste of the Boundless Theater experience, including a teaser from the first installation with a performance by singer-songwriter Hadiza Dockeray and an excerpt from David James Parr’s anthology play Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting. The event will also feature Boundless Theater’s Ambassadors, including Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Jenn Colella; actor, writer, filmmaker and transgender activist Pooya Mohseni; and screen star Jacopo Rampini.
The inaugural installations from Boundless Theater will take place over the four Boundless Tuesdays in February 2022 at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street): February 1, 8, 15, and 22, 6:00pm doors / 6:30pm show. Each evening will begin with the Boundless Theater Manifesto and a musical act by international singer-songwriter Hadiza Dockeray and her band, followed by a performance from David James Parr’s anthology play Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting. Tickets, starting at $25, are now available and can be purchased at BoundlessTheater.com.
“It is with great pride that I’ve joined Boundless Theater as one of their ambassadors. When I was first told of their inclusive mission and goals, of supporting new works and new artists of every origin, race, and gender, it reminded me of why I entered the Industry in the first place, and why the role of an actor is important to give voice to all different kinds of narratives and artistic expression. Let’s break down borders, and engage with our communities to bring about these boundless opportunities,” said celebrity ambassador Jenn Colella.
“Boundless Theater invites the audience to go back to that communal, visceral, and magical rituality of live theater that can profoundly transform consciences. We are all reminded of the importance of this tradition now more than ever, after we’ve witnessed how dramatically the global pandemic impacted the performing arts as the curtains fell on stages all over the world almost indefinitely. Boundless Theater is an inclusive borderless stage where the spotlight is and should be on talent, welcoming artists of every race, nationality, gender identity, and age,” said co-founder, artistic director & producer Daniela Pavan.
“We envision our inaugural programming as a boundless and borderless experience, to immerse the audience in the Boundless Theater feeling. Each of the artists involved are a strong representation of our mission and values. From the play by David James Parr, which struck us by his existential exploration of humankind caught in a state of isolation; to the evocative and alluring music of Hadiza Dockeray; to our celebrity ambassadors – Jenn Colella, Pooya Mohseni, and Jacopo Rampini – who represent, in their diversified life and artistic experiences, a kaleidoscope of beautifully resilient individuals inviting us to think of an inclusive, boundless world, literally without borders,” added co-founder, artistic director & producer Tommaso Cartia.
“The characters in Eleanor Rigby is Waiting are all searching for some sort of connection, both literally and figuratively. The audience follows these complicated women and men on their collision courses across the city with sometimes romantic, sometimes disastrous, but always revelatory results. Some will find connection. And some will find themselves. Come see your reflection in them… even when they can’t see themselves,” said playwright David James Parr.

BOUNDLESS THEATER MANIFESTO
“Welcome to Boundless Theater, a safe space where imagination makes the creative soul quiver and muses turn humans into dreamers. This stage tonight is for us, for all of us who have been locked down for too long in a still life trembling for motion, for emotions. Tonight, we are boundless, limitless, fearless. Tonight, let’s speak-easy, let’s breathe easy, let’s sing easy, let’s dance easy, let’s embrace each other, easily. Let’s live dreams and let’s dream of lives…” (Tommaso Cartia)

New York, NY (December 14, 2021) – The final days remain to bid on theatre’s first NFT. In an industry first, Third Act, the first-of-its-kind NFT (Non-fungible token) marketplace for the theatre community, collaborated with two-time Tony Award winner and Grammy Award nominee Brian Stokes Mitchell and his live streaming talk show “Crossovers Live!” to launch a new collection of NFTs, available until Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:59pmET.
Founded by Tony Award-nominated producer Eric Neal, Third Act introduced an NFT marketplace specifically for theatre and was a first for the theatre industry. The company’s initial collection, released in June of 2021, featured digital collectibles from OHenry Productions’ Herding Cats.
Third Act marked yet another first for the industry, with the release of its new collection in collaboration with Brian Stokes Mitchell. Chairman of The Actors Fund since 2014, Mitchell has enjoyed a long and fruitful career both on stage and screen, and now NFTs. With this release, Mitchell becomes the first Broadway actor to digitize his likeness in the form of an NFT. This collaboration was commissioned by production company Atomic Focus Entertainment, which partnered with Third Act’s in-house NFT studio to produce the collection.
The digital collectibles have been released in conjunction with Mitchell’s interviews on “Crossovers Live!” with Broadway icons like Kristin Chenoweth, Bernadette Peters, Marc Shaiman, and more. “Crossovers Live!” is an intimate talk show streamed live and produced by Stellar Originals and Atomic Focus featuring actors who, like Mitchell, have made the jump from stage to screen. In addition to the Mitchell NFTs, a unique NFT collection for “Crossovers Live!” was produced by Third Act and is being used as digital keepsakes and to incentivize ticket buyers.
The Third Act platform boasts an incredibly simple and easy-to-use crypto experience. The marketplace lists all of its available assets in USD and users can purchase NFTs directly with a credit card, meaning transactions can be made easily on one of the most eco-friendly platforms available today: Hedera Hashgraph. Using Hedera, Third Act’s carbon emissions are a fraction of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and even Visa transactions. And a portion of each and every sale goes directly back to productions, personalities, and IP owners.
Hedera and Third Act are some of the first companies that are taking advantage of USDC, a stable coin pegged to a fiat currency (USD). With the recent introduction of USDC to the Hedera network, companies like Third Act will receive a boost from the integration of the stablecoin. Third Act currently accepts fiat currency, with USDC integration in the near future.
The decentralized Hedera network offers stable governance with no forking, low and predictable transaction fees, fairness, built-in compliance, real-time settlement, and sustainable energy consumption - all of which are driving massive adoption of the platform. Hedera is the most used, sustainable, enterprise-grade public network for the decentralized economy. The platform is governed by a council of the world’s leading organizations, including Avery Dennison, Boeing, Chainlink Labs, Google, IBM, and more. Hbar, the native cryptocurrency of the Hedera network, is used to protect the network through proof-of-stake and power decentralized applications.
